Electrical Apparatus and Machine Co. was founded in 1974 by Chandler James and sons, Alan and Doug James. Prior to founding this company Chandler James managed many major motor repair facilities across the US including Reliance Electric. From 1974 to 1978 Electrical Apparatus was primarily a motor rewind shop during which time they were developing the rotor rebarring process.
After moving the company to our present larger facility we dedicated our entire shop operations to rotor repair. Since 1974 we have become the leader in this specialized field with tens of thousands of our rebarred rotors operating all over the world. Our expertise in the field is unmatched.
